JML What Kinda Problems were you having?
My main problems have been with keeping my car cool which I finally had to get a bigger radiator and used the Liquid cool and yes it really does work I did a comparison between Water, Water Wetter and The Liquid Cool out of the three the Liquid cool worked the best dropping the temp around 20 degrees. Preventative maintenance is another big thing I have been to the track several nights when a 99 cent hose clamp would have allowed me to finish always look over your belts and hoses before you race. Go online and Search for Stock Spring Rates its a document you can download that gives you the rates and heights for all Ford Vehicles up until about 2005 instead of trying to squeak through with racing springs go to the junkyard and find the Ford cars that have the rate you want. Tire pressure is another big thing play around with it in practice AS MUCH as you can every car I have seen seems to be a little different and you just have to go by trial and error on that also go online and find you some set-up sheets if you can't find any let me know and I will email you some good nights usually end up helping you avoid mistakes Take advice I've learned alot by talking with the people who have been doing this for years and most won't kill ya if you ask some questions Hope this Helps 8man www.code3racing.net

you can get new wheels from pike or s&s, not sure how much money you are wanting to spend.
as far as help, where are you? i drive the dromer oval #05 and me and a friend, dromer oval #77 would be willing to look at your car and let you know where to start and get you at least to the right ballpark and maybe even in the gate. you can call me at 502-664-7377 hope this helps you out. |
