But back to Whitesville, Jon Jon says it scares him to run into turn one. I never raced a figure eight track that the track itself scared me, and Whitesville is a scarey track going into one. There's good reason it's scarey, one day it'll scare you too , it can KILL you all by itself , you don't need anyones help. Have a pedal hang going into one and it could split yer head open like a dropped hollowen pumpkin. The last two figure eight races I ran I ended up with the other car's paint on my helmet from bashing my head against the rear roof pillar on the other car as we slapped sides. Window nets should be on every race car , in Louisville I ended up hanging out of the window unconcious with traffic screaming around me, my arm and head were outside the car and I was fast asleep. That was in an old Monte Carlo with a 350 2 bbl and single exhaust cut off, I won my first time out in it, first time on the track also I believe.
I left the Drome and went dirt racing. Glasgow is a dirt Anderson and was a hoot to drive. they ran metric chevys with 4 bbls and Hoosiers on bead locks . I ran a 2 bbl stroked windsor t-Bird on street tires and finished 4th in a 50 lapper, and I don't even like dirt that much , I just straighten it out and drive it like asphault, nuthin to it . I took the same car and set fast time at the drome and second fast at indy, I beat every person from the drome and indy, a guy from Mount Lawn was fastest. I ran a Ford two bbl everywhere I raced, it probably flowed twice as much air as a stock one and nobody ever suspected it had been touched. I love beating cars that are supposed to be faster and I have no chance.
I got an idea that'll save you some money. buy Jon Jon's stroker Ford motor and I'll sell you a crown vic tha'll make you wish you never sat in a Chivvy. It has a true-track , a nine inch, a manual valve body C-4 and all sorts of Hunn secrets installed. It comes with 5;13 , 5:80 ;6:00 and 6:80 gears , all for the measly sum of 1500 bucks no engine.
